Cultuvation, Honor and Odium in 70s disco outfits and roller skates: Cultivation is a curvatious, tall woman with a giant Afro, dark green sport shorts, a matching glittery top and glowing, green hoop earrings. She leads the group with determination and a no-nonsense attitude. Honour has his hands on her hips looking backwards. He too has a cloud of kinky hair waving around his head, though his hair is white and wears a white, wide sleeved shirt under a blue short waistcoat with golden trim and shiny, golden bell bottom pants. His critical glance is at Odium who holds onto his vest letting himself be dragged along. Odium is a old dude with long flowing hair and beard, plus red aviator shades. He wears a white, short sleeved, bell bottomed onesie, with a very deep neckline and golden studs as ornaments. The wheels of their skates all grow in their respective investiture light colour: Cultivation's in green, Honor's in blue and Odium's in a dark ultraviolet purple.ALT

So many people posting about court jesters but not enough people posting about The Court Jester (1955)

If this gets just one more person to watch The Court Jester (1955) I'd count that as a win

They broke the chalice from the palace!

But they replaced it with a flagon, with the figure of a dragon.

For those of you who have not seen this pinnacle of cinematic art:

(Yes, that’s Angela Lansbury off to the side there on the dias. She’s hilarious too.)

If you've never watched this movie, do yourself a favor and put it in your eyeballs. It is phenomenal.

THE FINISHED INNER SEAMS WTF???????

Y'ALL WERE GETTING FINISHED EDGES????

He’s not wrong but I feel a few things need clarification. First and most importantly, the seams he pointed out ARE finished in the women’s version—they’re serged. Those are not raw edges, they’re finished edges. Serging is a lower quality/faster seam finishing technique, but it is still finished and the seams will not fray.

Second, the pockets. The women’s jeans appear to have a much closer fit than the men’s jeans. You can’t fit as large of pockets in a close-fitted pant, there isn’t space for them, and doubly so if they’re shaped to fit around a wider hip (as women’s jeans typically are). Women’s pants pockets can and should be larger than they are, but a close-fitted cut is always going to have somewhat smaller pockets for practical physical reasons. They don’t need to be *that* small, but a better comparison would be with a wider legged cut of jeans.

I can’t give any excuses for the material and hardware quality, though; that’s just purely social and capitalist expectations that women be shoppin’.
